Software –based exam for Std IX students

Thiruvananthapuram / Kochi, March 4 – In a path breaking attempt to modernize the school education, the General Education Department is conducting a Software-based IT examination for over five lakh ninth standard students in the state which will be completed in a span of one month. However, this is for the first time an IT examination is being held in such a massive scale for students of a particular class. The development of the examination software title “Softexam 1.0” has been done by Team e-biz, a Cochin based Software company. They say it was a challenge for them to complete IT@School project within one months time.
The examination software package contains as many as 600 objective type questions and 130 programme involved practical questions which can be transformed in to around 600 questions.
